Welcome to the official NDRI SRS Alumni Page (the "Platform"). This Platform is designed to foster connection, networking, and professional growth among the alumni, students, faculty, and staff of the National Dairy Research Institute, Southern Regional Station.

By accessing, registering for, or using this Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or access this Platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Alumni," "Member") and the administrators of the NDRI SRS Alumni Page ("We," "Us," "Our," "Administration"). We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • Eligibility: Membership and access to certain areas of this Platform are strictly restricted to verified alumni, current or former faculty, and authorized students/staff of NDRI SRS.
  • Registration: To access alumni-specific features, you must register and create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify the Administration of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Verification: The Administration reserves the right to verify your affiliation with NDRI SRS before approving or at any time during your active membership. Accounts found to be fraudulent or impersonating others will be permanently banned.

3. User Conduct and Code of Professionalism

As a representative body of NDRI SRS, users are expected to maintain a high standard of professional and ethical conduct.

Prohibited Activities

When using the Platform, you strictly agree not to:

  • Post, upload, or distribute any content that is defamatory, libelous, obscene, offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or promotes violence or illegal acts.
  • Harass, bully, stalk, or intimidate other alumni, students, or staff members.
  • Post unauthorized commercial advertisements, spam, chain letters, or multi-level marketing (MLM) pitches.
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or proprietary rights of any third party or NDRI SRS.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or any malicious code designed to disrupt or harm the functionality of the Platform.
  • Use data-scraping, bots, or manual extraction methods to harvest email addresses, phone numbers, or personal data of alumni for external marketing or unsolicited outreach.

4. User-Generated Content and Intellectual Property

  • Ownership of Your Content: You retain ownership of any text, photos, research papers, career updates, or other materials you post to the Platform ("User Content").
  • License to the Platform: By posting User Content, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Alumni network.
  • NDRI SRS Intellectual Property: All trademarks, logos, graphics, website design, and proprietary text created by the Platform administration remain the exclusive property of NDRI SRS and its affiliates. You may not use the official NDRI SRS logo or name for commercial purposes without explicit, written authorization.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is paramount. Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Platform collects personal and professional information to verify your alumni status and build a directory.
  • You control your privacy settings regarding how much of your profile information is visible to other registered alumni or the public.
  • The Administration will not sell your personal data to third parties. However, data may be shared with official NDRI entities for institutional purposes, university updates, or official alumni meets.

6. Networking, Mentorship, and External Links

  • Alumni Interactions: The Platform provides directories, forums, and messaging features to facilitate mentorship, job postings, and networking. The Administration does not vet or guarantee the accuracy of job postings, career advice, or opportunities shared by individual users.
  • Third-Party Links: The Platform may contain links to external websites, research portals, or social media groups. We do not endorse, monitor, or assume liability for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.

7. Moderation, Suspension, and Termination

  • Right to Moderate: The Administration reserves the right (but assumes no obligation) to monitor, review, flag, edit, or delete any User Content that violates these Terms or is deemed detrimental to the reputation of NDRI SRS.
  • Termination: We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, harms the alumni community, or violates local laws.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • Disclaimer of Warranties: The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, availability, or security of the Platform. Your use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the NDRI SRS Alumni Page Administration, committee members, and the institution itself shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access to profiles, or disputes between users.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions or disputes arising out of these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
